They Have Arrived (October 17, 2006)
After the long and arduous process of getting this project out the door, the Dallas Blair Trio is happy to say that the final product has arrived! Along with that, we are pleased to announce that the CD Release party is scheduled to occur on Friday, November 3, 2006 at Beans in the Belfry in Brunswick, MD starting at 7:00 PM.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come out and celebrate with us as we roll out our new CD to the public.
Breaking News (September 29, 2006)
The Dallas Blair Trio's first album Wine Me Up has finally gone to production! We are expecting the finished product to be on our doorstep by October 20, 2006 and are planning our next public gig as our CD Release Party. Keep an eye on this page and on the Beans in the Belfry website for details.
Roots-Americana (June 15, 2006)
Tough to define, but we know it when we hear it.
The Dallas Blair Trio traces its roots back nearly a century to the fusion of the blues and old time string band music. Almost one hundred years later the trio morphs these two traditional genres and adds the best of the decades.
Swing, bluegrass, C&W, honky tonk, singer-songwriter, blues, rock, folk, Hawaiian, alt. country, ballads and twang. It's all here. It's a lot of music for just three people to be playing.
But it's three seasoned musicians with years of contemporary bluegrass chops stretching their collection imaginations, playing the music that Bill Monroe didn't necessarily approve. The band shows plenty of acoustic sensibility, but isn't afraid to plug in when they get attitude.
